To register to the Technical Visits, you may go through the confirmation link that you received by email when you first registered. There you will find your account and profile and will be able to edit it and register to a visit .

People who are not yet registered and want to attend a visit must first register to the main conference.

Guided tour: 2 to 3 hours

Tours consist of a video introduction to CERN, followed by a visit of one or two areas on the site, such as control rooms, research facilities, engineering facilities, etc. Tours take place both indoors and outdoors.

Today, the Swiss Aeropole technology park offers unique benefits to ambitious aerospace companies, including access to a 2.8km runway and a growing community that counts innovators SolarStratos and Destinus among its members.

Join the AEC 2023 technical visit at Swiss Aeropole on July 14th to discover this unique location and its ecosystem.

Swiss Plasma Center

Guided tour: 1.5 hours

A visit to the Swiss Plasma Center introduces guests to plasmas, fusion and their related experimental devices. Aerospace Europe 2023 participants can sign up for a one-and-a-half guided tour including the tour of our tokamak (unique in Switzerland).

Please note that the access to the TCV tokamak might be restricted as major work is currently being done.

The visit in NeuchĂ¢tel includes a short presentation of CSEM, then the group will be split, and you’ll discover our latest developments in the fields of:

  • Wireless sensor networks for aerospace applications
  • Mechanisms for space – such as EU-funded project PULSAR (Prototype of an Ultra Large Structure Assembly Robot), which aims to to develop the technological bricks needed to autonomously assemble large structures in space.
  • Visit of our additive manufacturing facilities
